Heart of Darkness by Joseph Conrad

Q - what is The Significance of The Title "Heart Of Darkness? "

This novel is about Marlow's experience in the Congo. As soon as he joins the Company as a steamboat pilot, he is eager to meet Kurtz. Upon reaching the Outer Station, he witnesses the Company's savageness towards the native people, who are working as slaves. This reality is completely contrary to Marlow's initial perceptions of the Company and its goals. Eventually, he arrives at the Company's Inner Station where Kurtz resides. There, he sees the horrifying sight of native people's heads impaled on spears around the station.
