Quality by John Galsworthy

Q - DO YOU THINK THAT ARTIST SUFFER MORE? YES OR NO, AND WHY? ART FOR ART'S SAKE.

Yes, I do think that artist Suffer more nowadays. Because peoples are abundantly Fascinated by the Big firms like Malls, Supermarket and several online platforms. The Smallest thing that you possibly could imagine is available on those big shot markets. Most of the peoples are Tends to purchase from these kind of Malls Regardless of the credibility of product. They don't even care about the product is genuine or not.

I would like to say that nowadays peoples are not Capable to understand the value of the thing or a product that a true Artist Make. Most of the mass believes that it's easy for Artist to make such a product and they neglect the efforts and hustle of the Artist. Moreover, those artist like Malls and supermarkets are not Economically Capable to advertise their work. "Such a work is their Advertisement.

That's why Art has Become Art's Sake and not for Life sake.

MAJOR THEMES OF " QUALITY ".

The rise of large corporation

Quality" is partly about the rise of large corporations in the 20th Century. Published in 1912, this short account chronicles the beginnings of mass consumerism and the development of large corporations, both of which had a devastating impact on small businesses. Overall, the narrator's experience buying his shoes from a larger business is depicted as impersonal and of a lesser quality compared to the intimacy of the Gessler brothers' store.

The importance of small business

In this short narrative, Galsworthy stresses the better quality of items bought from smaller businesses, hence the title "Quality." As a customer at the Gessler store, Galsworthy is given personal and high-quality service. In addition to this, the shoes he buys are of an impeccable standard and are fitted to his individual feet. However, Gessler then buys some shoes from a larger corporation, which are not as good.

Financial struggle

Galsworthy critiques the capitalist economic structure of the 20th century, in which big corporations could outperform small businesses. This leads to an unfair distribution of wealth, meaning that small business owners often struggle to make ends meet, despite many being committed to providing the best quality of products. This is reflected in this story about the Gessler brothers, who both die as a result of their devotion to creating high-quality shoes.

QWHAT IS THE MESSAGE OR MORAL OF " QUALITY ".

The moral of the story is dedication and commitment towards one’s work. The Gessler Brothers, throughout the entire story, remained true to themselves and their work, despite suffering heavy losses. Even if they suffered at the end, Gessler Brothers made the best boots in London. Mr. Gessler had said that for him shoemaking was an art and he performed his work with dedication. Their shoes were of such fine quality that one could not easily wear them out. One must work with dedication and passion, so that even if they die, one day, their name like the Gessler Brothers will carry on.

Q - SELECT OF THE PRODUCT AND HOW WILL YOU MARKET IT?

I would choose Cloths for it. Because I believe nowadays, peoples are very much Aware about how they appear as your first impression is your outfit.

As we know this Century is Century of technology. There are multiple ways to market your product. One of the best way is advertisement your product on various online platform because most of the peoples are now on it and your product can get good market value. Television advertisement with popular celebrity or youth icon can also increase the Brand value of your product.
